Tradepoint Atlantic and Terminal Investment Limited Sàrl (TiL) announced a new 330-acre redevelopment project at Sparrows Point, Maryland.
The new project will immediately expand Maryland’s logistical capabilities and allow the Port of Baltimore to reach its potential as it adopts new capabilities. Container operations at the Port of Baltimore will increase by over 50% as a result of this project, while the new on-deck rail facility will serve as the closest link to the Midwest from any port in America.
With an investment of over $1 billion and 1,100 direct union jobs this project will benefit our community and solidify the Port of Baltimore as a top tier port on the East Coast.
Sparrows Point Alliance is a non-profit, grassroots organization committed to the growth of the Port of Baltimore and the continued prosperity of the surrounding communities. Specifically, we support the completion of the proposed Sparrows Point Container Terminal and seek to maximize positive economic, environmental, and societal opportunities that this project will yield for all Marylanders.
